the last one for a while

thats all folks...well not yet but this is the last joint blog lauren and i will have for a while and it comes once again from the island of hilton head.

summer school is over once and for all - thank goodness the studying was getting a little monotonous so now i am ready for just some good old summer time relaxing

so on my road trip home to orlando with sadie along for the ride we stopped for a nice "layover" as rusty refers to it

tomorrow morning early am it is homeward bound for me and the dentist for la

well readers this is it....we've appreciated yall taking lovely time out of your day to read about our exciting lives. we're gunna miss this and were sure yall are too but don't you worry we will still be living out our exciting lives....just separately and not recording it (hint hint jon and kate)

For all of you who kept up with our lives over the past few weeks we accomplished a whooping one thing of our 12 item to do list....understand all concepts of a baseball game, thanks to our helpful teachers bj, jamie, joey, and father williams. we realized that number one, eating at just more bbq was kinda an unidealistic goal considering the fact that neither one of us even like BBQ...it kinda posed a problem to the whole eating there thing. and mr. short you were right libs probably wouldn't have gone for the whole tatoo thing...neither would jan..so we opted for a no on that one too. so maybe we didnt do too bad...right???

summer in clemson rocks and dont let anyone else tell you any differently. you can pleasently spend your days sweating by the pool and feel like your passing your time laying on a private beach in Hawaii.

don't forget...live high and live mighty.
the end

yours truely,
jenny and lauren

are we there yet.... FALSE

Well this weekend we took a nice little jaunt to the lovely little island of Hilton Head. We were accompanied by three handsome gentlemen (who by the way made us fend for ourselves all weekend).  Throughout the weekend we learned many fun facts and we would like to share them with you.....

fun facts that have been acquired by lauren and jenny over the past weekend:
1. if you're ever bored in the car....no problem pull out a map - it will provide entertainment for hours on end
2. be prepared to laugh for hours when playing snorta (what is snorta you ask? well it is a game where you make barn animal noises and basically are competing like you would in war to win the pair so you get rid of cards)
3. we make GREAT mixed cds
4. we sure can down some Chocolate Shop cookies
5. if you hold the Wii controller backwards while attempting to dominate in mariokart it will become an epic fail
6. when taking sunset pictures it is of the utmost importance to ensure there is a sailboat positioned perfectly in the background and you only have a few seconds to capture this as told by none other than rusty
7. so for all you first timers out there....when going on a dolphin cruise make sure to pack in your napsack man's best friend, Buddy, to ensure that you have in fact spotted a real live dolphin
8. to all you male travelers out there it is an URBAN LEGEND that when traveling with girls you have to make excess potty breaks
9. the best way to sleep on a couch is to pretend you are in a coffin
10. yes in fact the sand at the beach is hot on the feet when its 100 degrees outside
11. when trying to impress future inlaws be sure to pray long detailed prayers that include lyrics to songs (especially if your impressing libs)
12. at Wendy's Big Gulp means medium
13. it is in fact possible to drive for 5 hours on the interstate with one headlight and not get pulled over
let's just say beginning a five hour road trip at 8 o'clock after a jam packed day of physical labor (tubing and dolphin searching) is not always the best idea....but hey we made it and we learned alot and we hope you did too

now on to our day of recovery (today)....we basically did all of nothing today. jenny, or jeannette to SOME, went to class and lab and enjoyed it so much she came right home and got her study on. lauren on the other hand spent the day lounging in her pajamas reading and watching House online. we joined together later in the afternoon to work on eportfolios and watch multiple episodes of CSI....we know you are all sooo jealous.

we ended our day with an entertaining dinner at monterays. why was it entertaining you ask, well we can't tell you......just kidding we will. we were minding our own business eating our chips and queso when we heard taylor swift around the corner. we looked at each other and thought taylor here? no of course not. so we turned and discovered to our surprise it was none other than an eight year old girl belting out her favorite songs for her dinner company. next thing we knew she was singing jenny's ringtone and struggling with the words. we thought we should help her out so lauren called jenny's phone in order for the little child t0 hear the song. needless to say it helped and she ended her performance with a beautiful tribute to the high esteemed employees, FALIZ NAVDID....they loved it as did we.

we wanted to leave you with this one thought.....we're so much cooler online

call me beep me if you want to reach me if you want to page me its okay.....

oh wow what a night!
so i'm not really sure what to say right now. i have been afforded the huge honor of being a guest mystery blogger for everyone's favorite summer-in-clemson adventurers. the weight of this moment is leaving me speachless at the moment, but luckily the excitement of another day in Clemson for our dearest lauren and jenny will be the wind in my sails as i embark on this great challenge.

well first off, the day started as any other June day in clemson.... waking up to birds chirping and 85 degrees and bright, sunny skies. oh wait... except today it was cloudy and looking like rain... so all adventures were put off for a brighter day... perhaps tomorrow.

but adventures aren't all that clemson is good for in the summer. life went on as usual today... jenny in her precious little class and lauren going off to run her little errands and then of course squeezing in some qt with her favorite... one tree hill! i'm not really sure what happened this week on one tree hill, but from the looks of her reaction, it was pretty crazy!

well some of us aren't as exciting as those two girls, so my day is hardly anything to write home about (hi mom!) mine was full of making to-do lists and calling people back and lying on the couch with probably the biggest tummy-ache of my life!! but needless to say, i recovered and had quite the successful night. i think it was the dunkin donuts coffee that did the trick! after that, i was fully recovered and ready for the epic night which was ahead.

now tonight was waaaay too much for any of our readers to handle, so i shall just provide a brief summary.

-charlie bartlett was a really strange kid, but robert downey jr. did his usual stand-up job as this mystery blogger's favorite new actor!

-if you ever want to go buy ice cream from bi-lo, it's good to have an idea of what you want. otherwise, you will be obliged to stand in front of that massive freezer for waaaay too long, and if you are cold natured like most girls are.... well it can get quite chilly and make the decision making process all the more difficult. in the end, jenny got some chocolate brownie thingy from ben and lauren got jerry's specialty- mint chocolate cookie or something like that...

-have you ever been attacked by college boys pretending to be strippers who were dressed up as fake cops? well if not... everyone should experience it. they burst in the door at a quarter past ten, and in the midst of jenny's screaming, the only thing i was capable of thinking was that i was gonna spend the rest of my life behind bars. but no need to worry, for our parental readership out there... we knew these boys and they were just pretending. i must say, they made miss jenny blush pretty badly. i was amused.

-finally, this exciting night concluded with a rousing game of taboo... let me just say that your favorite friends, lauren and jenny, are no slouches at this game. challenge them. i dare you. but prepare to be embarrassed.

well my friends, this concludes the inaugural session of your mystery bloggeration. i look forward to the next time, if there is one.

until then, never stop exploring!

day number 723 on this island

dont worry we haven't been here for 723 days and we aren't on an island either but if we were our house would probably be like swiss family robbinson - hot! and we have a little poem that goes like this:
on this island of fun and sun we don't flush for number 1 (this was featured above a toilet on an island where lauren was visiting a fishcamp and supposedly mrs. patterson you should "pee your pants" if you remember this - love you mom)

bye bye outside world

so lauren was talking to her pineapple cup tonight and said "don't spill little juicy juice dont spill" as if it was a child - we are in a delirious state

i have another dumb anatomy test on wed so until then i will be studying but i have yet to make much progress
lauren on the other hand is making a difference in this world by volunteering at a food pantry which we have decided is going to get pretty boring after a few days

ohhhhh yeah today in anatomy lab we started cat dissection it was so great - but i just needed to let the readers know that we named our cat BOLD so dont you worry we followed through with our promise granted lauren wasn't there but still but Bold was a very fatty cat which made for a gross clean up but thats okay i will still love him

lauren just asked me if she sounded like a whale from finding nemo but all she was doing was this "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" "hmmmmmmmmmmm"
then jenny asked me if she sounded like a dolphin when she went "hehehehehehehehehhahahaha" i told her yes......NOT

anyways let me tell you about my day today....well i awakened and went straight to volunteering at CCC. it looks as if im gunna be makin me some new old friends. im pumped!!! after that i took a jaunt into greenville to check out dresses for jp and smar's wedding. the trip was a failure except that i made all the all way to downtown greenville and all around and back without EVER getting lost..yay me! then i came back did a little computer work, saved jenny at walmart, did some online shopping, and then watched jenny do some of her little dances

"got my vans on but they look like sneakers"
"Pierre, Relevue, Pierettese. I am a ballerina and I dance all daaaaay" (jenny will do this dance on video and post it for you to see but only by request)

ps I am thinking of getting a job cooking frozen pizzas for people....any takers??
Drew I could give you a run for your money

and to all of our faithful readers we may be coming your way soon, keep those binoculars up!

run bride run...

well lauren and i experienced a classic movie for the first time tonight - we both thought we had seen Runaway Bride but apparently not...I even own it and had never seen it...I was thinking of Father of the Bride basically the whole time and was waiting to see the tennis shoe factory but it just never happened.
jenny's day consisted of breakfast made by becca and lindsey at the camp and then church and lunch with the eagle rock fam and then the nice 3.75 hour drive back to clemmy! then of course it was time to hang out with lauren so we watched the movie we have never seen and talked about the week to come - nothing exciting planned as of yet but we are hoping for some great finds at the really cute boutiques around here - you know the one called wal marte'
lauren's day consisted of a magical drive around 10 am from greenville to anderson to hit up NewSpring. it consisted of a sermon entitled God is good, God is great, and we all know thats true. then from there i made the usual trek back to clemson where i proceeded to make some lunch and watch....you guessed it One Tree Hill. well i did that for awhile and then i decided it was time for some exercise and to finally leave the apartment for the day so i set out for a nice little hike on perimeter where i proceeded to get some lovely blisters...i just LOVE blisters. after my hike i did some laundry, ate some grub, and then met Jenny and devised our plan to adopt one of the many stray kitties around clemson....by using Kendra's famous kitty call....and then name it BOLD. were sooooo excited about our new pet and we've decided to keep it in liz and wendy's room and don't worry it probably won't shed too much all over your stuff.

we would like to give a shoutout to a rad dad of a follower Mrrrr. SHORT!!!

I love the mountains.. I love the rolling hills

Hello Friends!
I am currently in the Volunteer state visiting some cousins and friends in Knoxville. I am missing Lauren but I am sure OTH (One Tree Hill) is occupying her time and if not I am sure that she has found some exciting adventure to venture on with the dear joester...
Well studying for the lab practical is over but I now have another test on Wednesday - oh the ongoing joys of summer school. But its okay it will be worth it in the end and I am still having fun (if you couldn't already tell based on the blog) Let us see now where in the world did I leave off...well after Lauren disappeared to FCA without telling me I started to watch Honey and then multiple other shows in 213 until we made brownies and got our "2nd wind" when it was finally about time to crash probably around midnight (because we are so lame) Hanna procedes to call her mother and ask if she should skip class...Merkle and I are like what you are calling your mom?!? Our moms would be like "what..what is it are you okay..." Thursday ended on a good note when I found out right before bed that Friday was.....drumroll please
NATIONAL DONUT DAY
I was very excited about this because in the past my friends and i from home have celebrated International Waffle Day (shout out to yall). Granted I didn't even eat a donut yesterday it was the thought that counts but i did learn from my friend in class that they were giving away free donuts at DD (dunkin donuts) anyways after class the 6 roommates of 213 - yes thats right lauren and I as well as merkle and carol ann moved in to 213 temporarily at least for this lunch date to ancheauxs. It was packed and slow as usual but obviously delicious! After lunch Lauren and i packed for my little road trip to the cousins well let me rephrase lauren sat and watched me pack and now here i am typing in the mountains loving life but i will post again when i am back in tiger town!
love to my homies

Green Peanuts

so as i sit here boiling peanuts i decided it was time to update the blog. jenny has left for the weekend and has left me here all alone to be in charge of the blog. sorry we haven't updated it in the past few days we have just been oh so very busy seeing all of the exotic sights clemson has to offer.

lets see jenny spent the day wednesday studying away in a secret cove in the oh so popular library....but dont you worry all her studying paid off and she got a glorious grade (you guys can clap for her now). so since jenny spent the day studying that left me to entertain myself and don't you worry entertain myself i did. i spent most of the day sleeping...like any good college kid and then awoke to no food and so i passed the time watching One Tree Hill on the internet...a new passion of mine apparently and then went exploring with good ole Joesph. we just drove around and look random pics for a while and then came back just in time to go swimming in the lake and have leftover tacos for dinner. well that pretty much sums it up for wednesday but hold on to your britches for Thrusday cause your in for a treat......

so thursday was the rain day.....it rained all all all day long, oh did i mention when it rains in clemson you very quickly run out of exciting optionssss. i woke up early determined to actually do something with my life and go volunteer for Clemson Community Care. well lets just say that didn't turn out so well. as mentioned i was out of all food and it was raining...not too good for a non-morning person like me, but i pushed through. i stopped at a gas station and bought a granola bar and began my search for CCC. well i never found it. i followed mapquest to a t, i think???, and drove up and down the road multiple times, but it was useless. i had no idea where it was so i came back and did my new favorite thing....watch One Tree Hill on my couch, YAY YAY YAY!!!! (and not to worry i found CCC today). back to jenny....she continued to study for the above mentioned test until she said...direct quote "here goes nothing" and that was around two o'clock. when she aced it she came back to the ridge and we ventured up to hannah's apartment where to our surprise meridian and carolyn were awaiting our arrival. we caught up for a while and then ventured up the stairs to visit brett, brad, and bradford and play some Wii and watch some video games...then katie came to our rescue with dinner. buy one get one free pizza to be exact. so we begun our family dinner in 213 and whole heartily enjoyed ourselves. Britton, who is on a head dose of pain meds due to a back injury, stopped by and provided us with some crazy entertainment. After that i left to go to summer fca, which was GREAT GREAT GREAT cause im just good little girl, and well who knows what jenny did. we ended our nights separately but im sure she didn't do anything i wouldn't do....

well this is getting pretty long so ill finish it up with one final highlight in honor of jenny since she didn't completely contribute

Jenny: is that a man in camo with his face painted....or is he just not white?

Meridian: so Britton what are you doing up here this summer
Britton: well im doing research
Jenny: like on infotrack (which for those of you who don't know is a collection of articles on the library's website)
Britton: um no like in the lab, with rats

enjoy life!
peace, love, clemson

Day 2

wowzerrrs....we have been blogging for 2 days now- and we feel so cool...we know those in the non-blog world are so jealous (cough.cough...sanders) today lauren and i were on our own jenny (that would be i) had an eventful day filled with anatomy class and open lab - joyful! i don't really know what i did today it obviously that exciting but it was exciting enough to pass the time...lauren on the other hand was very active she and joey (there you are mentioned joey) made up all the clues for the fca scavenger hunt and then took a nice little hike to isaqueena falls they returned and the scavenging began - lauren and i obviously were on the same team and we had two other members brian and caitlin who were superb additions to the team! we came in 2nd place with 72 points and lots of photos to capture these memories - the most highlighted being ...........................................
JUMPING IN THE LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the water was fair temperatured and we forgot towels (even though lauren and i knew prior to the start of the hunt that we would be getting wet-smart smart smart)
the scavenger hunt ended at spill the beans where we stood and dripped and froze while waiting for joey to add and add and adddd forever!!! but in the end we pulled it out and came in for a close 2nd but not really we were off by like 20 points :)

for the next scavenger hunt we have brainstormed cheating methods.dun.dun.dunnnn
well it is now lightening and thundering while jenny (i) try to study for my lab practical
it is going no where but i am making progress which is what counts obviously
and lauren sits and watches and eats my cheez - its
i probably will go get one of her ice cream sandwiches now - key study snack especially since we didnt eat spill the beans (thanks ryan lee for the generosity of only giving the 1st place winners a gift card)
we checked the mail today and the boxes were empty thanks guys - i mean yalls letter havent been written yet either but the thought crossed our mind its on the to do list
keep it real

Day 1 Completed

it was a long and very eventful day! we spent our day reading our books Jenny- Found Lauren-Painted House. Lauren's is a little slow but Jenny is lovin hers. we made a pitstop to Sonic....gotta hit up that happy hour, YOU KNOW After reading till we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer we decided it was time for dinner. we got real creative tonight and made ourselves tacos...two nights of Mexican in a row we have decided that we will eat a different ethnic food group for dinner for two nights very day till we leave...were hoping for Italian next. To top off the night we went to the Clemson baseball game. it turned into an epic nailbiter but no stress we pulled it out and now were region champs.

There was a surprise guest at the baseball game....DABO see

after the big win we just knew we had to celebrate so at the suggestion of joey we hit the waho, but only after a quick trip to outer edge. the four of us squeezed into a mini booth and helped joey eat both the all star special and the two eggs meal. we had company join us for dinner as well a nice little possum who ate all of the cats food. the waitress wasn't too happy that we found it so amusing but its all good. oh and blair if you decided to read this we enjoyed having you at dinner as well.

well its off to sleep and hide from the robbers (aka the dogs)

Day 1

well lauren and i decided since everyone else in the world was creating blogs about their summers that we would join the fun...we know that life is sooooo exciting here in clemson and that you guys are just dying to know what is happening so GET READYY!!!

while i enjoy going to class everyday lauren has taken it upon herself to job hunt at the greatest places in the world: walmart, target, hobby lobby, publix, and ross - i know these are going to be great resume boosters..but the thing is now we are thinking that we may instead become professional sweaters (not the clothes, but perspiration to be exact) the ridge pool has a nice breeze coming off the imaginary beach to our towels on the cement - NOT

to fill our time we have come up with a list of things to be accomplished before the summer is over:
1. eat at just more BBQ
2. go yard sale-ing
3. eat at Pendleton Cafe
4. go hiking
5. go antique-ing
6. buy a pool float
7. buy sunscreen
8. understand all concepts of a baseball game
9. eat at Mac's
10. go to sunglasses store downtown
11. Find cute rich boys to take us on their boat
12. get a tattoo

(more to come)

well now it is time for us to decide what to do with the rest of our day....you all know there are so many exciting things to do around Clemson, especially during the summer. our options usually include touring foreign cities, sneaking onto private beaches, and shopping at the chic stores downtown...oh wait just kidding. i think the most exciting thing happening in Clemson right now is the baseball team is about to win the regional tournament and the FCA scavenger hunt GET EXCITED!!!!
